How Sweet I Roamed by Carmen Damarco

November 9, 2018 by bsoaadmin

Carmen Domarco

How Sweet I Roamed from Field to Field

New works on paper inspired by the colours and flora of Bermuda.

“Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.” – Luther Burbank

“Flowers are everywhere. It does seem to be a miracle that from the bones of tiny organisms deposited millions of years ago on the floor of an ancient sea there should now arise to greet the sun a little flower marked by such ingenious and beautiful workmanship… but for all the factual explanations I prefer still to regard this particular germination, growth and florescence as magic, pure magic, and nothing else.”  – Roy Bedichek

“Just living is not enough… one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower.”   –Hans Christian Anderson

“Earth is a flower and it’s pollinating.” – Neil Young

“The flower is the poetry of reproduction. It is an example of the eternal seductiveness of life.” –Jean Giraudoux.

“Every flower is a soul blossoming in nature.”  – Gerard de Nerval

“You’ve got to be the one that, wherever you are, like a flower, you’ve got to blossom where you’re planted.” – Cory Booker

“Love is a flower, you’ve got to let it grow.” – John Lennon

“Be honest, be nice, be a flower not a weed.” – Aaron Neville

“Every flower that blooms reminds us that the world is not yet tired of colors.” – Fabrizio Caramagna

“since the thing perhaps is… to eat flowers and not to be afraid” – E.E. Cummings
