Membership gives you an insider's view of the Gallery, taking you into the world of art in ways that go beyond visiting and viewing. Choose the option that suits you. There is a range of membership categories to suit different needs and preferences.

Student (under 21): $20

Membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st.

The opportunity to display your own artwork in member only shows and/or to have your own solo exhibition in one of our 4 galleries; the Onions, Edinburgh, Studio A and Studio B Galleries.
Exhibiting Artwork Guidelines
Open Members Shows
(Shows run for 19 days, with 2 days for set-up)
1. Must be a BSoA member to exhibit.
2. Work must be relevant to the theme of the exhibition when such criteria apply.
3. Maximum of six pieces allowed per show unless otherwise stated.
4. $10 entry/hanging fee per piece entered which if fully refundable if artwork is sold.
5. 50% of artwork on displayed must be for sale.
6. Commission is 30% on artwork sold.
7. Juried Exhibitions involve a group of at least three individuals who jury the artwork. Should a members artwork be juried out they will receive notification and will be asked to pick the work up within one week of the show opening. Any entry fees paid are forfeit in the event an entered piece is juried out.
Solo and Group Members Shows
(Shows run for 19 days, with 2 days for set-up)
1. Must be a BSoA member to exhibit.
2. Any member can hold their own solo or group exhibition provided they pay the gallery fee. Gallery Fees
Edinburgh Gallery: $750
Onions Gallery: $1,750
Studio A: $375
Studio B: $375
Gallery Specifications The primary space available for exhibitions is approximately, 2,700 combined sq. ft.
Edinburgh Gallery: 33 x 14 feet
Onions Gallery: 60 x 30 feet
Studio A: 14 x 15 feet
Studio B: 14 x 15 feet
Maximum occupancy is 378.

3. Commission is 15% on artwork sold. For private shows such as these the BSoA will provide the space and the membership mailing list however the cost of mailing and any beverage or food for the opening preview is the responsibility of the artist.
