*Extended by popular demand. We are calling on all artists to continue to submit their TrashArt to bring awareness to the damage we are doing to our environment*
This year’s TrashArt show will focus on plastics and especially using objects found in the ocean or on the beaches. BSoA will be transformed into an underwater world filled with all manner of subjects found within the depths of the ocean – sea creatures from whales, dolphins, starfish, jellyfish, turtles, sharks and lion fish, to corals, seashells, pirates, shipwrecks, divers and treasure. We invite artists to use their imagination to transform some of the tons of discarded plastic into art that makes a statement, and puts Bermuda’s plight into the international spotlight – after all we are in the middle of THE PLASTIC OCEAN!
Entries welcome from schools, art camps and individual artists. One entry per school group or artist – unless space permits.
NOTE: Please ensure that everything from the ocean has been thoroughly cleaned and bleached before including it in your artwork.
