Karl Sternath (Stemsi Art) designs vibrant art pieces with a medium that is unusual and captivating.  Working primarily with epoxy resin as a viscous base, he creates formulas with special pigments, metallic powders and dyes to produce a dramatic effect. The process is not easy to control and timing is a critical element in the creation of this art. The outcome, however, is well worth the effort as the magic  and originality of each piece is found in the shapes, intense color “explosion” and dimensions not to mention the awesome feelings they evoke.  The challenge comes in seeing what colors and forms can be initiated with this method.  Karl’s greatest satisfaction is to watch a piece begin to take shape through the fluidity of the liquid medium and then become a solid, tactile object.

He describes his art as modern and contemporary.  Each piece is one of a kind and while it would complement an ultra modern loft or an office setting, it could just as well add that eclectic feel to a more traditional environment.
